Are donations secure?

Absolutely. The security and confidentiality of our donors’ information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect donor information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations. Cancer Commons does not share, sell or trade donors’ personal information. Nor will we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. We share personal information only if donors have given us specific permission.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes! Cancer Commons is a 501(c)3 public charity and donations are tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. Our EIN is 45-3266802. A donor who wishes to claim a donation as a deduction on their U.S. taxes should keep their email donation receipt as their official record. We will send the donor a receipt of donation upon successful completion of their donation.

Do donors get a receipt?

Yes! A donation receipt will be sent to the donor at the email address they provide. Donors should be sure to keep a copy of their receipt for tax purposes. If they selected a recurring donation, they will be sent an individual receipt each month when their donation is processed.
